Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train started its journey to Rameshwaram and Madurai under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme-2024 on Tuesday from Sriganganagar : Hanumangarh. Happiness was clearly visible on the faces of the passengers traveling in this train. When the train stopped at Suratgarh railway station, 300 devotees from Suratgarh, Sriganganagar, and Anupgarh districts set out on the journey.
According to the Devasthan Department, a total of 780 passengers boarded this train from Hanumangarh, Suratgarh, and Bikaner. The train left Hanumangarh on November 26 and will reach Rameshwaram and Madurai on November 29 via Suratgarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Lucknow, and Pune. There will be a return from there on 1st December and the journey will conclude after reaching Hanumangarh on 3rd December.
Facilities being provided in the journey
Devasthan Department Commissioner Vasudev Malavat said that 1 train in-charge will be present to look after the passengers, 2 government employees in each coach, and 1 doctor and 2 nursing officers for medical assistance during the journey. Documents of all passengers were verified before the journey.
Devasthan Department Inspector Sonia Ranga said that the Aadhaar card, Jan Aadhaar, medical certificate, and hard copy of the application of the passengers were checked. Health check-up of all the passengers was also done by the health department and necessary medicines were distributed.
