Sriganganagar : Amol Maurya, the only seven-year-old son of Vijay Maurya, a resident of Srivijaynagar, who works as a laborer and runs a household, is suffering from a rare genetic disease called X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy. Amol is undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. According to his latest MRI, the symptoms of his disease are increasing rapidly. The doctor has advised immediate bone marrow and stem cell transplant for its treatment. Father Vijay Maurya is ready to donate his bone marrow and stem cells to save the life of his son Amol.
But due to it being a rare disease, the BMT process is also complicated and more expensive. The doctor has estimated the expenses incurred during the transplant to be Rs 20 to 25 lakhs, which does not include the expenses before and after the transplant. Amol is the second child of his parents, but due to this rare disease, his 11-year-old elder brother Ansh Maurya lost the battle of life in 2021 due to not being able to undergo a transplant. Now Amol is the only child left of his parents.
Using their savings, the family took a loan to get Ansh Maurya treated, but the doctors were not successful in saving Ansh. Amol’s family needs support due to high expenses. Amol’s father has a bank account in the name of Vijay Maurya in State Bank of India, whose account number is- 33307295855, IFSC Code- SBIN0000208, Branch Kunda. Contact number is 9695391516.
