Barmer News Desk: A Dalit youth was stabbed to death (Balotra Murder Case) in broad daylight after a minor altercation in Balotra district of Rajasthan. CCTV of the incident is currently going viral on social media, in which some youth are seen killing a person over a dispute over removing a vehicle parked outside the house. Now politics has heated up in this matter and the leaders of the opposition Congress party are targeting Bhajanlal Government.
Ashok Gehlot made serious allegations
Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot wrote on X on Wednesday evening, ‘The murder of a Dalit youth in Balotra is an example of weakening law and order in the state. It is highly condemnable that even in a case of murder in broad daylight, the victim’s side has to stage a protest for the arrest of the accused. In the last one year, there has been a continuous increase in crimes against Dalits, tribals and backward classes. The state government should take immediate action in this matter and ensure justice to the victim’s family.

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasara wrote on Twitter, ‘The brutal murder of Vishnaram Meghwal in Balotra is extremely sad and highly condemnable. Instead of maintaining law and order, the BJP government is engaged only in eventful activities. The continuous atrocities on Dalits and no concrete action being taken in this matter till now shows the anti-Dalit mentality of the BJP government. Balotra area officer Sushil Mann said that on December 10, 22-year-old youth Vishnaram Meghwal, living in Nehru Colony, had a dispute with a person named Harshadan Charan. Meanwhile, Harshadhan attacked Vishnaram with a knife, due to which he was seriously injured. The injured was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where after giving first aid he was sent to Jodhpur, but he died on the way. Now the family members of the deceased and others are sitting on a dharna outside the hospital mortuary demanding the arrest of the accused and other demands.
8 police teams are searching for the accused
Balotra District Superintendent of Police Kundan Kawaria said that the investigation of the case has been handed over to a Deputy Superintendent of Police level officer and eight teams have been formed to arrest the accused, in which Cyber Cell and DST (District Special Team) have also been included.
