‘State Pollution Control Board’ collected a fine of Rs 2.5 crore in Bahadurgarh.

Bahadurgarh, November 27 (IANS). In view of the increasing pollution in Haryana, the ‘State Pollution Control Board’ took major action on Wednesday. Under this, 41 factories were sealed in Bahadurgarh and a fine of more than Rs 2 crore 50 lakh was collected. Assistant Environment Engineer of Haryana’s ‘State Pollution Control Board’ spoke to IANS regarding the entire matter.

In view of the increasing pollution, the board has taken major action in Bahadurgarh. So far, a fine of about Rs 2 crore 50 lakh has been collected from the board in Bahadurgarh. This fine has been imposed on government departments, private institutions and factories that cause pollution.

Haryana Pollution Control Board’s Assistant Environmental Engineer Ajay Kumar said that 41 factories causing pollution in Bahadurgarh area have been sealed. Illegal plastic manufacturing was also done in these factories. After the implementation of grape rules, challans have been issued to more than 50 private institutions using diesel generators. Apart from this, notices have been issued to more than 75 construction sites, out of which heavy fines have been imposed on more than 30.

He told that the air quality index level of Bahadurgarh adjacent to the capital Delhi is increasing. Even on Wednesday, the AQI level here was recorded at more than 300. The DC of Jhajjar district and the Pollution Control Department have instructed government departments to sprinkle four times more water on the roads than before.

He said that the level of pollution in Bahadurgarh is not due to burning of stubble but due to dust rising from broken roads, pollution from construction sites and various types of factories emitting poisonous smoke day and night. Due to this, the amount of PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles in the atmosphere is continuously increasing, which is becoming a cause of trouble for the common people. People are facing problems like burning sensation in eyes, redness of eyes and they are also experiencing difficulty in breathing.
