Jaipur : The India alliance formed by Congress with allies has broken in the assembly by-elections in Rajasthan. In the by-elections being held on 7 seats in the state, Congress has not divided the seats with its allies RLP and BAP. On the other hand, BAP had fielded candidates on the first two seats.
After the announcement of Congress tickets, RLP announced its candidate in Khinvsar on Thursday. As part of the India alliance formed just before the Lok Sabha elections, Congress had left Nagaur Lok Sabha seat for RLP. At the same time, support to BAP was announced on Banswara seat. Similarly, BAP was supported in Bagidaura assembly seat. There was no discussion on seat alliance in this by-election.
Here’s the strategy
Congress had authorized him to field candidates on the MP seats during ticket distribution. It was decided to give ticket to the late MLA’s son in Ramgarh. On the remaining three seats, Salumber, Chaurasi and Khinvsar, state leaders were entrusted with the responsibility of selection. State President Govind Dotasara played the lead role in Khinvsar. Whereas in Salumbar and Chaurasi, the bet has been played on new faces.
