Jaipur : To keep an eye on the miscreants in the city on Janmashtami, the police will keep an eye on the miscreants through cameras connected to face recognition technology. These cameras will be used especially in Govind Dev Temple, ISKCON Temple at Mansarovar and Akshaya Patra Temple premises and surrounding areas at Jagatpura. Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said that on Janmashtami, there is a movement of lakhs of devotees in these three temples and miscreants become active taking advantage of the crowd. In the crowd, miscreants commit pickpocketing, chain snatching, theft, mobile snatching, bike theft, purse theft, molestation and other crimes. Face recognition technology will be used to nab these miscreants.
CCTV cameras of all temples will be connected
Commissioner Joseph said that face recognition software has been installed with the CCTV cameras connected to the three temples. It has a complete horoscope feed including data and photos of all the criminals of the state and other states. Whenever these criminals reach the temple and its surrounding areas, the software will immediately issue an alert through the CCTV cameras installed there. Five police teams in plain clothes will be present in the premises and surrounding areas of the three temples, who will arrest the accused as soon as they get information.
