Strike of resident doctors in SMS Hospital continues for the seventh day, know the whole matter in the video

Jaipur : The health system of the hospital has been badly affected due to the ongoing strike of resident doctors in Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Hospital for seven days. There is a long line of patients in SMS hospital. Patients are taking three times longer to see doctors than before. The strike of resident doctors of SMS College is also getting support from resident doctors of other colleges of Rajasthan. Today (Monday, October 14) resident doctors of different colleges of the state are on strike for two hours. Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD), an organization of resident doctors, has warned of boycotting emergency services. He has said that if the government does not take concrete action regarding his demands today, he will stop seeing the patients coming to the emergency ward. The resident doctors of Sawai Man Singh Medical College went on strike last week on Tuesday, October 8. The resident doctors are on strike with eight demands. He says that these demands of his are old but even after giving ultimatum several times, the state government has failed to fulfill these demands.

8 demands of striking resident doctors

As per the earlier agreement, the security arrangements of all medical colleges should be strengthened.
Salary should be increased on time. Resident doctors claim that the salary currently given in Rajasthan is less than all the neighboring states.
The bond policy should be changed.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) should be given to all those resident doctors who do not live in hostels.
Recruitment for special medical officer posts should be done.
JS/SS posts should be created in all the departments where PG studies are conducted.
The discrepancy in the salaries of academic and non-academic Senior Resident Doctors (SR) should be removed. The striking doctors claim that at present the salaries of academic SRs are lower than non-academic SRs.
After super-specialization for in-service doctors of Rajasthan Government, their salary hike and promotion should be on the same lines as that of PG passout doctors.
Resident doctors had earlier observed an 11-day strike in support of the doctors’ protest at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The resident doctors’ organization says that they ended the strike after getting assurance from the Rajasthan government. But no concrete action is being taken on their demands.
