Based on the statement of the student undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital, the police said that this accident happened due to the lack of lid on the petrol tank of the bike. The injured youth has been identified as Hrithik Malhotra, resident of Bassi town of Jaipur. Hrithik Malhotra is a third grade PTI, recently he was selected in first grade, although joining was still pending.

The victim told the police that there was no lid on the petrol tank of the bike and when he lit a cigarette, the petrol tank caught fire and he got burnt. The officer said that the victim is a third grade teacher and was posted as a physical training instructor.
