Students in Rajasthan have prepared a robotic bowling machine for cricket lovers, know its features

Bikaner : Cricket lovers are excited after India’s victory in the T-20 World Cup, while now a product from Bikaner is bringing revolutionary changes in cricket. Students of Engineering College of Bikaner (ECB) have designed a bowling machine, which is unique in itself for many reasons. Actually, not only will the ball come out of this machine at a maximum speed of 120 km per hour, but how much spin will that ball have. What will be its speed and what will be the angle, all this will be loaded in the software of the machine. With this, the batsman will not only be able to practice with the ball, but he will also be able to practice spin bowling. That is, along with off spin-leg spin, batsmen will also be able to practice playing googly with this bowling machine. The special thing is that with its unique control system, the ball feeder will also be able to easily work like a coach. The Electronic Instrumentation Department of ECB will soon claim the patent of this machine.

prepared like this

Harjeet Singh, Head of the Electronic Instrumentation Department, explains that the automatic bowling robotic system has been prepared in three parts. The first is the bowling motor driving system. It has two DC motors and ESP-32 microcontroller and MOSFET based control system. Sensors connected to this microcontroller will also be able to measure the speed of each ball thrown. The second part, the ball feeder system, is also based on a controlled DC motor, which keeps getting the ball from the bowling machine at the desired time as per the availability of the ball and the coach or the player. The third is the integrated control system, which gives the coach complete control over the bowling system. The coach can completely control the speed and type of spin of the ball for the practicing batsman by keeping full control with the help of an app.

The possibilities of AI based instrumentation become stronger

Associate Professor Rahul Raj Chaudhary of the Department of Electronic Instrumentation said that the students not only designed the industry grade product with their idea, but also gave a concrete shape to its prototype, thereby strengthening the possibilities of AI based instrumentation in the field of sports. Not only cricket, but by upgrading this system, it can also be used in other sports like tennis.

Designed and manufactured highly useful systems

The team of students has designed and manufactured a very useful system in the field of sports, realizing the intention of promoting multi-disciplinary research by the new National Education Policy. This shows the capability of ECB students.

Technology is the key pillar of progress

In the modern era, technology development is the main basis of the progress of society. Multi-discipline research is being promoted in BTU. Innovation of students and mentor teachers will play an important role in the development of the university.
