Chittorgarh : The application process for National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2025 has been started. Guidelines have been issued to the heads of institutions regarding applications and records of students. Under this, students living in government hostels will be ineligible for NMMS. Institution heads have been ordered not to select such students for applications. Apart from this, the records of those selected for scholarship will also have to be maintained by the concerned institution heads for five years. The application forms of the selected candidates will have to be kept in a safe record in the school for five years and the application forms of the unselected candidates will have to be kept in a safe record for one year. The school will have to provide any kind of information related to the student’s NMMS on demand under RTI. Therefore, orders have been given to maintain all the documents along with the application form at the school level. After online application, the hard copy of the original application form along with the documents will have to be submitted to the head of the institution.
Institution heads will be responsible
Institution heads will have to open the portal from their Shala Darpan ID to apply for the NMMS examination for students studying in class 8 in government schools and select the student. The desired information of the student will have to be verified from his/her documents. If any information is found wrong during the verification of documents, it will be the responsibility of the head of the institution. The student has been asked to submit the application form online only after verification of the prescribed documents.
