Sikar : Gurjar Dantpi Dandavat reached Ringas from Bharatpur’s Bayana for darshan of his idol. Both of them traveled a distance of about 250 km. During this period, the arrangements for night stay and food were also entrusted to Shyam. The result was that at the behest of Shyam, the devotees made arrangements for their food and accommodation in their own homes and hotels. The couple did not spend even a single rupee. Both of them expressed happiness on reaching Ringas. Chatar Singh Gurjar resident of Nagalati Ghuneni Bayana, Bharatpur started the journey to Dandavat Lakhdatar on October 2 with his 62-year-old wife Rupal Devi to fulfill his wish.
He carried with him one day’s worth of food in his handcart, on which Baba Shyam was seated. During the two months of Dandavat, Shyam devotees provided him food and shelter. Even one day’s food was packed and sent with them. There was no shortage of accommodation and food during this period. It took him about 2 months to cover the distance of 250 km. Both of them told that not even a single rupee was spent during this period. The devotees themselves bore the entire expense. Chatar Singh told that there was no happiness and peace in his house. On the request of the people, he attended the court of Lakhdatar and wished for happiness and peace. After a few days, everything was back on track. When there was peace and happiness at home, he started the Dandavat Yatra from 2nd October.
Sometimes each one bowed down together
The husband and wife started the Dandavat Yatra together. Sometimes Chatar Singh and sometimes Rupal Devi would worship. One man continued his journey after getting tired. Following this, one of the two people pushed the handcart along. Wherever both of them felt that they could worship together, they started worshiping together. Both of them came to pay obeisance at Ringas. At this distance, Chatar Singh’s wife Rupal continued her prostration. Both of them were seen prostrating before the Ringas Shyam Gate.
