Sudden shortage in blood banks across the division including Udaipur, patients worried

Udaipur : Udaipur A strange kind of crisis has emerged in hospitals amidst increasing cold. Patients are not getting A-positive blood. There has been a sudden shortage of A-positive blood in blood banks across the division including Udaipur. In such a situation, the lives of the patients are at risk and attendants of this group are searching for blood. There are about 15 such patients in MB Hospital alone who are in urgent need of A-positive blood. These include pregnant women and people injured in accidents.

Usually, there is a shortage of blood in blood banks once a year between April and May. But, this time in November there has been a sudden shortage of A-positive blood. This shortage has come to light not only in the blood bank of RNT Medical College, but also in the blood banks of other institution-run and private medical colleges of Udaipur. It has been learned that A-positive blood is not available everywhere for the last 2-3 days. The relatives of patients admitted in hospitals in need of blood are wandering in need of this group. They are roaming from government to private blood banks. In case blood is not available, they are making the message viral on social media to find a blood donor of A-positive group.

Institutions are appealing

BJP Disaster Relief Department State Convener Dr. Jinendra Shastri said that the caretakers are asking for help as A-positive blood is not available. Through the organization, an appeal has been made to the people with A-positive blood group to come and donate blood. These days, A-positive blood is not available not only in Udaipur but in the blood banks across the state. Due to shortage in Udaipur, an attempt was made to get A-positive blood from government blood banks of districts like Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Sirohi, Dungarpur-Banswara etc., but it was not available there either.
