Bundi : Kota-Hisar Express train could have met with an accident near Gudla Railway Station in Bundi district of Rajasthan. As soon as the train coming from Kota reached near Gudla Railway Station, smoke and sparks started coming out of the train. As soon as this was known, the pointman informed the train driver, after which the train was stopped. The technical team reached the spot and repaired the brakes after checking the train. The train stood at Gudla Railway Station for 2 hours. Due to which the passengers had to face trouble. A few days ago, the wheels of a goods train also derailed near this same railway station.
Hisar Express train left Kota railway station at around 11.50 pm. The train reached Gudla railway station and suddenly the brake blocks of the guard’s compartment got jammed. The brake blocks were stuck to the wheel due to which smoke and sparks started coming out of the brake blocks rapidly. The smoke was visible to the pointsman. The pointsman asked the driver on the wireless to stop the train immediately. The driver applied emergency brakes and stopped the train immediately. After the incident, the employees looked at the wheels of the compartment, the brake blocks of one compartment were seen stuck to the wheel. The matter was reported to Kota control room and officials. A technical team from Kota reached Gudla. The team removed the brakes stuck on the wheels of the train after a lot of hard work. Officials have ordered an inquiry into this incident.
Due to this incident the train stood at Gurla for about 2 hours. Meanwhile the operations of many trains were affected. The Udaipur-Nizamuddin Mewar Express which departed from Kota stood near Gurla for about half an hour. The team took the Kota-Hisar train back to the other line and let Mewar and other trains pass through the loop line. A crowd of passengers gathered near the Gurla railway station and the tracks.
