Sriganganagar : Rajasthan State Ganganagar Sugar Mills Limited in Sriganganagar has intensified sugarcane crushing preparations. The new sugar mill located in Kaminpura area of ​​Srikaranpur will start sugarcane crushing work from December 11. This year, sugarcane production is in 18,500 bigha area, from which there is a possibility of producing about 30 to 32 lakh quintals of sugarcane. According to the average of last 10 years, this mill is expected to get 18 to 20 lakh quintals of sugarcane at 60 percent rate. The main reason for the increase in sugarcane production is that there has been more sowing of sugarcane this year compared to last year. Last year, sugarcane was sown in 12 lakh 301 bighas, whereas this year it has reached 18,500 bighas.

Due to this increase, the mill management expects to get 6 lakh quintals more sugarcane than last year. Last year, the sugarcane crushing season started on December 21, while this year it is starting 10 days earlier. Sugar mill management estimates that this season the sugarcane crushing season may last for 125 to 130 days.
Last date for filling contract form
The general manager of the mill has informed the farmers that the last date for filling the sugarcane contract form is 25th November. Farmers have been advised to fill the contract form quickly otherwise they may face difficulties in issuing the sugarcane demand slip. The validity of the sugarcane demand slip will be only 10 days. If the farmers are interested, they can contact their respective sugarcane field supervisor or go to the sugarcane office of the mill and fill the contract form.
