Mumbai, November 23 (IANS). Film industry’s outspoken actress Swara Bhaskar remains in the headlines for her statements. Husband Fahad Ahmed had to face defeat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, regarding which the statement of ‘Raanjhana’ actress has come out. Swara has vented her anger on EVM.
The ‘Raanjhanaa’ actress, popular for her outspokenness, has expressed her anger over the glitch in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) after her husband Fahadh Ahmed lost from Anushakti Nagar in Mumbai.
The ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress wrote in a post on social media platform And the BJP supported NCP-Ajit Pawar candidate takes the lead. How can the batteries of the machines be 99 percent charged after voting for the whole day?”
The actress further said, “Why do 99 per cent charged batteries vote for BJP and its allies?” Along with this, Swara has also tagged Election Commission, Supriya Sule, Rahul Gandhi and other leaders in the post.
Earlier, Swara was seen encouraging her husband Fahadh by sharing a post on Instagram. He shared a post and wrote, “A lot has happened in the last month! I am still unable to understand what I have learned at the ground level about Indian electoral democracy. Here is a glimpse of the most memorable experience of my life. There’s more for you Fahad Ahmed. good luck tomorrow!”
Voting was held in a single phase on November 20 for 288 assembly seats in the state. Sana Malik, who won the Anushakti Nagar seat, got 49,341 votes while Fahad Ahmed got 45,963 votes and lost by 3,378 votes.
Fahadh married Swara on 16 February 2023. The couple has a daughter, whom they have named Rabia. Fahad left Samajwadi Party and joined NCP in October this year.
Swara Bhaskar has done strong acting in many successful films including ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
