Mumbai, November 23 (IANS). Fahad Ahmed, husband of famous film actress Swara Bhaskar, is trailing his rival NCP (Ajit Pawar) candidate by 3980 votes from Anushakti Nagar assembly of Maharashtra. NCP-SP has given him the ticket.
Till the time of writing the news, NCP candidate Sana Malik is leading with 14,574 votes, while NCP (Sharad Pawar) Fahad Malik is in second place with 10,595 votes. She is behind her rival Sana Malik by 3,980.
Apart from this, Acharya Naveen Vidyadhar of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is at number three. He has got 9,889 votes.
Sana Malik is the daughter of NCP leader Nawab Malik. Anushakti Nagar has traditionally been the stronghold of Nawab Malik. Nawab Malik had won the Anushakti Nagar seat in 2019, 2014 and 2009. This time NCP has fielded Nawab Malik’s daughter Sana from this seat.
Talking about Fahad Ahmed, Fahad Ahmed has been the state president of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, the youth wing of Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra unit, for a long time. He received his bachelor’s degree from Aligarh Muslim University in Uttar Pradesh and then M.Phil. from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Studied. Fahad has also been active in student politics. On February 16, 2023, he married Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar. In the month of October this year, Fahad had decided to leave Samajwadi Party and join NCP (SCP).
Announcing Fahadh’s nomination for the Anushakti Nagar seat, NCP (SCP) leader Jayant Patil had said, “Fahadh Ahmed is a qualified and educated young Muslim leader who has worked as an activist across the country. People want That we give opportunities to such leaders.”
