Barmer News Desk: During the checking of the transport department’s flying squad on the express highway, a tanker hit the rear of a parked truck. Due to this the driver of the flying squad died. The tanker driver was seriously injured. The incident took place on Saturday night on Jamnagar-Amritsar Express Highway in Kalyanpur police station area of Balotra district. On receiving the information, Kalyanpur and Pachpadra police reached the spot. The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of Kalyanpur Hospital. The injured is undergoing treatment at Nahata Hospital in Balotra. According to Kalyanpur Police Station Officer Vishal Kumar, the flying squad of Balotra RTO office was checking vehicles on the Jamnagar-Amritsar Express Highway.
During this time he stopped a truck and was checking the documents. During this time, a tanker coming on the highway hit the rear of the truck. The driver got buried under the parked truck. The tanker driver was seriously injured. People standing nearby took both of them to Kalyanpur Hospital. There, the flying squad declared the driver Dinesh (40), son of Bhanwarlal, resident of Pachpadra, dead. After first aid, the tanker driver was referred to Balotra Nahta Hospital. On receiving the information, Kalyanpur police station officer Vishal Kumar and Pachpadra police station officer Amararam Khokhar reached the spot with the police force. Express highway was opened by removing damaged vehicles from the highway. The body of the deceased has been kept in Kalyanpur Hospital. At present the police is busy investigating the entire matter.
