On December 6, on behalf of Sikar : Rajasthan Teachers Association (Shekhawat), Sikar, the District Education Officer office was surrounded by the Education Department regarding the posting of surplus teachers against the rules. The teachers remained on strike in the District Education Officer’s office till 11:30 pm.
Spokesperson Nolaram Jakhar said – Under the leadership of District President Vinod Poonia, teachers union officials and harassed teachers demonstrated outside the District Education Officer office shouting slogans. Also, in view of the dictatorial and arbitrary attitude of the District Education Officer, the office was surrounded.
He told – District Minister Nagarmal Garhwal had informed the officer about the organization’s demonstration program regarding the teachers’ grievance, but even before the teachers arrived, the District Education Officer left the office. Angered by this, the teachers started a strike in the office. The protest continued till late night till the arrival of the District Education Officer.
During this, State General Secretary Upendra Sharma, State Coordinator Pokhar Mal, District Sangharsh Committee Coordinator Farooq Ali, Suman Bhanuka, Anju Devi, Rajbala Chaudhary, Magharam Burdak, Rajesh Bhaskar, Jhabar Singh, Rajendra Nain, Harlal Singh, Shri Chand Mahan, Kailash Nehra, Shravan Singh Dhayal, Ramesh Poonia, Dan Singh Birda, Kamal Sevda, Jagdish Bajiya, Nand Kishore, Bhanwar Lal, Mukesh Many teachers including Bijaraniyan, Virendra Sharma, Jagdish Prasad, Mahesh Kumar, Mukesh Bijaraniyan, Rakesh Jakhar, Hazari Lal, Rajesh Burdak and Prithvi Singh participated in the protest.
