Kota : Teachers will now be recruited through roster system in universities and their affiliated colleges across the country. For this, the educational institution will have to make its recruitment roster as per the reservation. Recruitment will have to be done accordingly. Information about filled and vacant posts will have to be sent to UGC through online portal by 31st July. Universities and colleges will also have to provide information on the portal about how many posts are vacant, why recruitment has not been done on the posts yet and what efforts are being made. After this letter from UGC, there has been a stir in private universities including state universities-colleges of the state government. The reason is that rosters have not been made in most of the universities of Rajasthan.
In fact, a circular has been issued recently by the Secretary of University Grants Commission, Manish Joshi. In this, UGC has instructed all private and state universities and their affiliated colleges that higher educational institutions will have to prepare their recruitment roster in accordance with reservation. Recruitment will have to be done soon according to that. All recruitments and rosters have to be determined in accordance with the university act. UGC will have to send information about filled and vacant posts through the online portal by July 31. UGC clarified in its circular that the roster will have to include PWD category along with General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS.

UGC had issued a letter in 2019 itself. In this, instructions were given to fill the posts under the roster system. But UGC’s letter was not followed. Now UGC has given instructions to follow the roster system while instructing strict action.
