Jehanabad, December 8 (IANS). Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar next year. Before this, the election preparations of the ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) are in full swing. In this sequence, JDU’s district level worker conference was organized in Jehanabad on Sunday.
Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Sumit Kumar Singh, JDU leader Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha and newly elected MLA Manorama Devi participated in this conference. A large number of leaders and workers from all the blocks were present on this occasion.
In this district level workers conference, a target of ‘225 seats in 2025’ was set.
Senior Minister Ashok Choudhary, who attended the district level workers’ conference, while listing the achievements of his government, fiercely targeted the Lalu-Rabri government.
He said that during the Lalu-Rabri regime, Bihar used to fall in the category of sick state, which Nitish Kumar, with his hard work, has made among the leading states of the country.
Taking a dig at Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of providing 200 units of free electricity, Ashok Choudhary said that during his parents’ time, clothes used to dry on electric wires, hence the public understands his election statement. Let the election time come closer, Tejashwi Yadav will start talking about breaking even the moon and the stars.
Ashok Chaudhary took a dig at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav’s announcement of increasing the amount of Social Security Pension Scheme from Rs 400 to Rs 1,500 if the grand alliance forms the government.
Tejashwi Yadav had said that after the formation of our government, 200 units of electricity will be given free per month. Assuring the people, he said that even while being in opposition, his party will fight for 200 units of free electricity for the people of Bihar.
