Jaipur : A case of fleeing after robbing the bride’s jewellery and cash has come to light in Jaipur. Rs 2 lakh was taken from the groom in lieu of getting the marriage done. The robber bride kept threatening and intimidating him by threatening to implicate him in a false case. The victim groom has lodged a report at Kardhani police station. Head Constable Dharampal Singh said – 27-year-old groom resident of Khora Bisal Kardhani has lodged a report. In April-2023, the neighbor who came to meet the house offered to get him married. The family members were asked to talk to each other due to the urgency of the marriage. On April 5, the neighbor brought the girl’s aunt home to meet. During the conversation, the girl was liked when shown to her. Demanded Rs 2 lakh in exchange for getting the niece married. On giving two lakh rupees, on April 7, the family members were called and after recognizing the garland and ring from the girl, she got married and sent off. The family came home with the bride.
She started threatening to implicate me in a false case
The bride’s attitude changed on the second day of her arrival home. She started threatening the husband and the family members that she would implicate them in a false case. She started making new demands and getting things from them by intimidating them. Three months after the wedding, on July 7, she fled from the house taking gold and silver jewellery, Rs 10,000 and other valuables. On enquiry, it was found that she was already married. Realising the deception, the aggrieved groom lodged a complaint at the Kardhani police station. On the court’s order, the police have registered an FIR and started investigation.
