Udaipur : two accused in the much-discussed Kanhaiyalal murder case are still roaming freely in Karachi, Pakistan. Being an international matter, these accused could not be arrested yet. The NIA has recommended to the central government to bring them to India. So far, 9 people including the main accused arrested are currently in the high security jail of Ajmer. The statements of witnesses are still going on in the special court of NIA. Here, the family is waiting for justice. After the murder, the face of the accused still dominates the hearts and minds of the people. It is worth noting that exactly two years ago on 28 June 2022, two accused murdered Kanhaiyalal by slitting his throat on Maldas Street Bhoot Mahal Marg. The whole country was horrified after the video of the murder went viral. After this incident, the investigation was handed over to the NIA team by the Center. After the investigation, the team made a total of 11 accused in the case, out of which 9 were arrested, 2 accused are still left.
Now what?
For the statements of Kanhaiya’s sons, statements of four people including CI Hanumant Singh were to be recorded on Thursday, but the statements could not be recorded due to the prosecution demanding some documents. The government advocate says that the statements of Kanhaiyalal’s son have been recorded in the case. Arguments on these statements will be held on 6 July. As per the court’s order, further statements will be recorded continuously.

NIA has produced a total of 160 witnesses in the Kanhaiyalal murder case, among these witnesses there are many witnesses from different states apart from Udaipur. The testimony of all these witnesses will definitely take time.
