The air quality of the country’s capital Delhi will have to be improved: Tariq Anwar

New Delhi, November 18 (IANS). Congress MP Tariq Anwar spoke to IANS on Monday. He responded on increasing pollution in Delhi, Manipur violence and other issues.

Pollution in Delhi has reached a critical level. The situation is such that instructions have been issued to close schools. On this, the Congress MP has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah intervene in every matter, but do not say anything on the issue of pollution. Delhi is not just a state, it is the capital of the country and it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister and Union Ministers to fix the air quality and eliminate pollution here. But no one has time, everyone is busy in their own work.

Chhattisgarh Waqf Board has ordered that discussions after Friday prayers will not take place without permission. On this the Congress MP has said that I think this is wrong and unfair. It is not the job of the government to interfere in anyone’s religious matters. If this has happened in mosques, then tomorrow people will say that it should happen in churches also. To speak everywhere, permission will have to be taken from the government. If you want to narrate Ramkatha, you will have to take permission first. I understand this is not right.

Violence is happening again in Manipur and a meeting was held at the house of Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding this. On this the Congress MP has said that it has taken one and a half to two years for the investigation. Sometimes CBI investigates, sometimes INA will investigate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not have time to go to Manipur and see the situation there. Talk to the people about what problems they face there. The government has left everything to the fate of the people of Manipur, whatever has to happen will happen. The Prime Minister is traveling all over the world, but does not have time to visit Manipur.
