Beijing, December 9 (IANS). The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party held a seminar for non-CPC members in Zongnanhai, Beijing. The meeting heard the opinions and suggestions of representatives of the central committees of various democratic parties, leaders of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and non-partisan representatives on this year’s economic situation and next year’s economic tasks.
Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the symposium and delivered an important speech.
Xi Jinping stressed that next year is the last year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. We must seek progress while maintaining stability, fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of new development patterns, solidly promote high-quality development, Reforms should be deepened and high-level openness expanded. We must continuously improve people’s living standards, maintain social harmony and stability, carry out the goals and tasks of the “14th Five-Year Plan” with high quality, and achieve a good start in the “15th Five-Year Plan”. A solid foundation should be prepared for this.
After carefully listening to everyone’s speeches, Xi Jinping said that everyone fully affirmed the achievements of this year’s economic work and put forward many good opinions and suggestions on next year’s economic work. We will study it carefully.
