Beijing, December 9 (IANS). The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party held a seminar for non-CPC members in Zongnanhai, Beijing. The meeting heard the opinions and suggestions of representatives of the central committees of various democratic parties, leaders of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and non-partisan representatives on this year’s economic situation and next year’s economic tasks.

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the symposium and delivered an important speech.

Xi Jinping stressed that next year is the last year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. We must seek progress while maintaining stability, fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of new development patterns, solidly promote high-quality development, Reforms should be deepened and high-level openness expanded.
