The country’s largest AI hub will be built in Jodhpur’s IIT, know how effective its use will be.

Jodhpur : Jodhpur The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the technological era is emerging as a new revolution globally. IIT Jodhpur is now going to become an important center for the development and research of AI in India. It has been announced the establishment of Center for Generative AI Srijan (Srijan) at IIT Jodhpur in collaboration with Meta, in which a fund of Rs 750 lakh will be provided. The objective of this project is to train young students and developers in the field of AI, so that they can solve everyday problems.

According to Dr. Neeraj Jain, Professor, IIT Jodhpur, the aim of this center established in collaboration with Meta is to assist students and young developers (18 to 30 years) in skilling and capacity building in the field of AI. India AI, AICTE and other technical institutes will also be involved in this initiative. The Center for Generative AI at Srijan will focus on promoting open-source AI and applying it in areas such as education, security and medicine.

Importance of AI in medical field

Professor Jain said that AI can also be used in the medical field. Given the shortage of doctors in India, AI can help in examining and diagnosing patients. For example, if a person has a cough and its actual cause is not known, AI algorithms can detect the disease from the sound of the cough. This will not only increase efficiency in the medical field but will also expand services.

Nationwide collaboration to increase use of AI

The objective of this Center for Generative AI Shrijan being established in IIT Jodhpur is to provide technical information about AI to the students as well as to encourage them for research. This collaboration with Meta will not only promote high-level research, but the use of AI will also prove effective in solving real-world problems.
