The court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment in the case of stabbing a friend to death

Chittorgarh : Additional District and Sessions Judge No. 2 Vinod Kumar Bairwa has convicted two accused and sentenced them to life imprisonment in the case of killing a friend with a knife and fatally attacking another friend. Additional Public Prosecutor Abdul Sattar Khan said that Jagdish Chandra Sukhwal (35), a resident of Tumbadia police station Chanderia, told the police in a written statement that on June 7, 2022, at around eight-nine o’clock in the night, he had gone to eat at a hotel. Laxman Gadri, Rakesh Banjara, Dashrath Banjara, Nanalal Jatiya, Madan Bhil and Kailash Gadri of the same village were also eating at the hotel. After eating, everyone left the hotel to go to Tumbadia. On the way, Rakesh and Laxman were beating Dashrath near GSS ahead of Khan Tiraha. When rescued, Rakesh stabbed Jagdish in the stomach. After being stabbed, he reached towards Rojda village and Dashrath remained lying injured at the spot. Jagdish told the entire incident to the Sarpanch representative over the phone. On this, the Sarpanch representative took Jagdish to the hospital. Later it was known that the injured Dashrath had died.

On the basis of this written statement, the police registered a case. The police arrested Rakesh Banjara (19) and Laxman Gadri (24) and started investigation. After hearing the arguments of the defense and the additional public prosecutor, the accused Rakesh and Laxman were sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of 20,000 rupees under section 302, 7 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 rupees under section 307 and 3 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 rupees under section 326. Rakesh was separately sentenced to 1 year rigorous imprisonment under section 4/25 of the AYUSH Act.
