The credibility of veterans is at stake in 4 out of 7 assembly seats of Rajasthan, know why the political equations are getting worse.

Jaipur : Campaigning is going on at full speed for the by-elections on 7 assembly seats in Rajasthan. Along with BJP, Congress and other parties have put their full strength into the election campaign. This time the by-elections in Rajasthan are going to be interesting, because the Congress, which contested the Lok Sabha elections in alliance, is contesting the by-elections on its own. At the same time, BJP has also fielded its candidates on all 7 seats. Hanuman Beniwal’s wife Kanika is contesting elections from Khinvsar on RLP ticket, while BAP has given tickets to candidates on 2 seats in the state. Voting for by-elections on 7 seats Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Khinvsar, Chaurasi, Salumber and Ramgarh will be held on November 13 and the results will be declared on November 23.

RLP faces tough competition in Khinvsar
In the by-elections, the contest on Chaurasi, Khinvsar, Jhunjhunu and Ramgarh seats of Rajasthan has become interesting. The political equations on these seats also seem to be changing rapidly. There was a direct contest between BJP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) on the Khinvsar seat that became vacant after Hanuman Beniwal became MP, but now Congress also seems to be taking the lead there. The contest on this Jat dominated seat has become difficult for RLP because along with BJP, Congress is also in the fray against it in the by-election. Here Hanuman Beniwal’s wife Kanika, BJP’s Ratan Chaudhary and Congress’s Rewant Ram Danga are contesting the elections.

BJP will contest in Chaurasi
On the other hand, both BJP and Congress are trying to weaken BAP on eighty-four seats. This seat is tribal dominated. BAP’s Rajkumar Rot had won the assembly elections held here last year. After this, this seat has become vacant after Rajkumar Rot became MP in the recent Lok Sabha elections. This time, BJP does not want to leave any stone unturned in the by-elections, because out of 7 by-elections, only one seat was with BJP.

Keeping this in view, along with BJP leaders, RSS workers have been fielded. This time, Sangh workers are campaigning from door to door to attract voters in their favor. BJP has fielded Karilal on this seat, while Congress and BAP have given chances to Mahesh Rot and Anil Katara respectively. Local leaders believe that the main contest here is between BJP and BAP.

Triangular contest in Jhunjhunu

A triangular contest is being considered in this by-election on Jhunjhunu assembly seat. BJP has given ticket to its rebel Rajendra Bhambhu. Congress has fielded Amit Ola, son of MP Brijendra Ola. Former minister Rajendra Singh Gudha and Azad Samaj Party leader Amin Maniyar are challenging the Congress. Gudha was a minister in the previous Congress government.

Congress has fielded his son Aryan on the Ramgarh seat vacant due to the death of its MLA Zubair Khan. Congress is expected to get sympathy votes on this seat, although BJP also seems to be working hard here. BJP candidate here is Sukhwant Singh. Both the parties are focusing on wooing the Dalit vote bank. Sukhwant Singh had contested the last assembly elections as a candidate of Azad Samaj Party, when he got a good amount of votes from the Dalit community.
