Sikar : Sikar The Pulse Polio campaign is currently being run in full swing by the government, but the health department has shown great negligence in vaccinating children up to the age of two years. According to the report of the prestigious institute Global Alliance of Vaccines and Immunization (Gavi), in the year 2024, not a single vaccine was given to 7276 out of 25278 children of Sikar district.
At the age of 2 years, 11 vaccines are given to protect the child from various diseases. Due to lack of vaccination, the risk of contracting deadly diseases like measles, rubella, diphtheria among children has increased. After Gavi’s report, it investigated the matter. It was revealed that from birth till the child is two years old, the first dose of 10 vaccines is given to prevent 11 diseases. The situation regarding vaccination remains serious in the district.
