The doors of Shri Badrinath Dham closed for winter, the temple decorated with 15 quintals of flowers.

Chamoli, November 17 (IANS). The doors of the famous Shri Badrinath Dham of Uttarakhand were formally closed on Sunday for the winter season. At 9.07 pm, the temple priests closed the doors of the temple with the slogan ‘Jai Shri Badri Vishal’.

On this special occasion, Badrinath temple was grandly decorated with 15 quintals of flowers. During this time, more than 10 thousand devotees were present who especially became a part of this occasion.

After the closing of the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham, on November 18, the Dev Dollies will leave for Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar and Joshimath. This yatra marks the beginning of winter pujas of Badrinath Dham. After this, winter pujas will start at Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar and Shri Narasimha Temple Joshimath from 19th November.

Let us tell you that every year there is a possibility of heavy snowfall during the winter season and the doors of the temple are closed for the winter. After this, worship and darshan of Lord Badri Vishal takes place at the winter pilgrimage places of Pandukeshwar and Joshimath.
