Banswara Darshan Desk, the area which is today known as Samaimata, in the 15th century, this area inhabited by jungles was known as Banswara. On the highest hill of Banswara, there are still remains of the palace of Basia Bhil built during the Parmar rule. This mountain is at a height of 1400 meters. There is a dense forest in the valley, which is full of teak trees. It also has panther movement. Samai was his wife’s name. Before the year 1530, Bansia Bhil had considerable influence in Banswara.
In 1515, on the day of Makar Sankranti, he left Amarthun along with his brothers and sisters and settled in Banswara by cutting trees in the forest. Since then he came to be known as Raja Banksia Bhil. Banksia Bhil had two wives Samai and Hangwai and named Samaipura mountain after Samai. Hungar mountain in Amarthoon city was named after Hangwai.
Bronze statue weighing 4300 kg, 15 feet high
The statue of Bhil king Banksia has been installed outside the Municipal Council. Its launch is pending. Its height from road level is 24 feet. A memorial for this statue has been built by the Council at a cost of Rs 35 lakh, which is made of red stones from Dholpur and Jaipur. It is proposed to get this statue unveiled by the Chief Minister.

Banksia Bhil’s father Amra Bhil made Armathoon city the capital. The idol of Maa Ambe, the family deity of Charpeta dynasty, is installed here.
