Bharatpur : a farmer living in Kumher police station area of Deeg committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree on his own farm. The son of the deceased farmer lodged a case at Kumher police station on Tuesday (October 8). He told that his 5 bigha farm was filled with rain water, due to which the entire crop was destroyed, hence he was very hurt by this. He has committed suicide by hanging himself.
The farmer had a loan of Rs 3 lakh
Sandeep Sogarwal resident of Sogar village police station Kumher lodged an FIR. Sandeep told, “On October 6, my father Saudan Singh was at the farm. He was very hurt due to the destruction of the crop and the loan of Rs 3 lakh through Kisan Card. We do not have any other source of income apart from farming, we are troubled by this. Due to this, he committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in the field due to not getting any compensation for his crop failure.
Farmer’s 2 bigha farm has been sold
Sandeep told that he had a total of 11 bighas of land, out of which he had sold 2 bighas of land. The water and rain water coming towards Kumher has filled our 5 bigha fields. There was millet crop in 5 bighas. The crop was completely spoiled due to rain water. The financial condition of our family is very weak. Saudan Singh has two sons and a daughter. All three got married. Lives in a hut built in the field itself.

On October 6, when Saudan Singh’s elder brother went to the fields, he saw Saudan Singh’s body hanging from a tree. When he raised an alarm, people working nearby gathered. Then the family came to know about the incident. He was taken down from the tree and taken to RBM Hospital, where he was declared dead. Patwari Shyamveer Kuntal said that Girdawari of the entire area has been done. 50 to 60 percent of the crops in the entire area have been reported damaged. Kumher police station officer Banwari Lal Meena said that today the son of the deceased farmer has filed a complaint, which will be investigated. Only after that the entire matter will be known.
