Jaipur : A case of forced religious conversion has come to light in Gandhi Nagar police station area of Jaipur, on the pretext of improving financial condition and removing all the troubles. Yuva Shakti Manch Rajasthan and Hindu organizations protested at the police station. The police has started questioning the couple who has been accused of conversion. According to the police, Sumitra, a resident of Phase-3 Jhalana Dungri, has given a report. In which she told that some people had come to her house two-three months ago. They told about Jesus Christ and said that pray to him. Due to which all your troubles will go away and your financial condition will improve. You will never have to face any problem in life. They asked to adopt Christianity and said that they will make all the conditions better, there will be no problem of money.
Idols removed from home
Sumitra said in the report that on September 13, at 2 pm, both of them came and removed all the religious items and idols. After this, they forced them to pray. They forcibly put a Christian locket around the neck of the wife. The woman informed the local residents about this. After this, they contacted Hindu organizations. The officials of Hindu organizations caught the couple on Friday afternoon and handed them over to the police. Now the police is investigating the matter.
Conversion going on for several days
Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s provincial convener Sujata Pareek said that poor people are being converted by luring them with money. Earlier too, information has been received about conversion of many families.
Yuva Shakti Manch activist Rajveer Soni said that as soon as he got the information, he reached the spot and informed the police. It is alleged that many people have been converted so far, although this has not been confirmed yet.
