The government is giving this wonderful free scheme to senior citizens, know what is special

Jaipur : There is great news for the elderly above 60 years of age. The Rajasthan government is providing them free travel to more than 27 pilgrimage sites, this travel will be done through airplane and train. If you also want to take advantage of the free pilgrimage scheme, then apply by September 19.

Actually, the Rajasthan government has announced the Pilgrimage Scheme 2024 for senior citizens. Under which people above 60 years of age will be able to travel to religious places for free. Under this scheme, senior citizens can travel by plane or rail. Under which the last date for application is 19 September 2024.

Visit to 27 places of pilgrimage

According to Girish Kumar Bachani, Assistant Commissioner of Devasthan Department Ajmer, air travel facility through this scheme is available only for Pashupatinath in Nepal. At the same time, many major pilgrimage sites can be visited by rail, such as Rameswaram, Jagannathpuri, Tirupati, Dwarkapuri-Somnath, Vaishno Devi-Amritsar, Prayagraj-Varanasi, Mathura-Vrindavan-Barsana, Sammedshikhar-Pawapuri-Baidyanath, Ujjain-Omkareshwar-Trayambakeshwar (Nashik), Gangasagar (Kolkata), Kamakhya (Guwahati), Haridwar-Rishikesh-Ayodhya, Mathura-Ayodhya, Bihar Sharif and Velankanni Church (Tamil Nadu).

To avail the benefits of this scheme, eligible senior citizens have to apply by visiting the website of Devasthan Department https://devasthan.rajasthan.gov.in/. The application process is simple and can be filled through the online application link. Apart from this, application can also be made by visiting https://edevasthan.rajasthan.gov.in/forms/home.aspx. This scheme provides an opportunity for religious travel to the senior citizens of Rajasthan and aims to encourage their religious sentiments. Keeping in mind the last date of application is 19 September, all eligible persons are advised to apply on time.
