Barmer : good news has come for the families included in the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana list. After three years, along with allocating targets to the Gram Panchayats by the government, the process of taking application forms from the priority beneficiaries has started. In such a situation, it is expected that 10298 families will get a concrete roof before Diwali. Five years ago in 2018-19, the government had taken applications under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana from families deprived of a concrete house. Shortly after the application was made online on the Government of India’s Awas Sapt, in the year 2021-22, the approval of houses was issued with the allocation of targets to the Gram Panchayats. In which only 15-20 percent of the families of each Gram Panchayat got housing. After that, when the target was not allocated for the last three years, Rajasthan Patrika published a news in its July 21 issue titled ‘Showed the dream of a concrete house five years ago, let alone building a house, the list was not even released’ and exposed the pain of the families included in the list. After this, now the target has been allocated for housing.
