Jind, 8 December (IANS). Haryana’s Kandela Khap chief Omprakash Kandela on Sunday condemned the use of police force against the farmers of Punjab at the Shambhu border.
Kandela told the media that the day the United Kisan Morcha becomes united, all the Khapas will support the movement. There are only two groups of farmers in the movement going on at the border. It is not the job of the Khaps to participate in the movement, the Khaps only support the movement. We condemn the incident that happened with the farmers of Punjab at Shambhu border. If the farmers were united then we would have gone there.
He said, “If the farmers of Punjab call the farmers of Haryana, then the farmers of Haryana are ready. If they call us, we are ready and will not step back. If all the groups unite, then all the Khaps will stand with them and The government will have nothing to say. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini talks about MSP on 24 crops. Farmers are being exploited inside the mandis of Haryana.
Farmers are raising slogans outside the police post on Shambhu border. They demonstrated against the police stopping media vehicles. On Saturday night itself, a letter was written by Haryana Police to Punjab Police asking them to stop the media one kilometer away from the border.
At the same time, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher told IANS, “We are with the farmers and labourers. Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal used to say that the Modi government is forcing farmers. Today the face of the Punjab government has also been exposed. Center On the instructions of Bhagwant Mann, the government is not allowing the media to go for coverage. We condemn this. The Chief Minister himself should come forward and explain why the media is being stopped.”
Due to the farmers’ march to Delhi, concrete arrangements have been made on all the borders of Delhi. Making special arrangements, Delhi Police has put up tents on the rooftops at Tikri border and barricades have also been installed on the border along with containers.
Public meetings and processions have been banned, and paramilitary forces have been deployed to maintain law and order. Along with this, arrangements for drones and water cannon have also been made. Shambhu Border connects Patiala of Punjab and Ambala of Haryana.
