The intention of making Bikaner school students aware about the Constitution was eclipsed.

Bikaner : Bikaner Our Constitution is not just a legal document. It is a reflection of the soul of India. While it gives us rights, it also reminds us of our duties. While it has given us other great freedoms including freedom of expression, it has also shown us its limits. With the aim of making the general public, especially the young generation, aware of such points of the Constitution, the then Governor Kalraj Mishra had expressed the need to create Constitution Parks in all the universities. Two universities of Bikaner even got Constitution Park constructed and inaugurated on time.

However, the sad fact is that the purpose for which the creation of these parks was conceived to make the young generation aware about the Constitution, does not seem to be being fulfilled even remotely. Today the situation is such that Constitution Park is getting impatient while waiting for its new arrivals. Apart from a few, neither the schools and educational institutions are paying any attention nor the administration is interested in bringing the young generation here.

The first Constitution Park was ready in MGSU in July 2022.

The Constitution Park built in Maharaja Ganga Singh University was inaugurated by the then Governor Mishra on 31 July 2022. 155 miniature iron pillars were installed on the boundary wall of the park and painted golden. A 15 feet high RCC column of approximately 4 feet diameter was made and a five feet high gun metal Ashoka Pillar was installed on top of it. Six pastels were made and black granite stones were attached to them and details of the purpose of the Constitution, fundamental duties, fundamental rights, names of major committees of the Constituent Assembly and the details of the Chairman were written in golden letters. Various types of trees and plants were planted in the park. Stone benches were installed for seating. Excellent electricity arrangements were made. Also, railings were installed around Ashoka Pillar Circle. A constitution book made of gunmetal has also been installed in the Constitution Park, while a similar second Constitution Park has been built near Sadul Sadan in front of the Veterinary University.
