He has sent officials of the concerned department to inspect the dam area and has prepared a draft of the report.

Pappu Bainsla and Bhanu Pratap Singh of Tourism Development Committee say that for a long time, continuous efforts were being made to make this earthen dam a tourist destination, because its construction will provide employment opportunities in the district. He further said that for this, letters have been written many times in the past to IAS officers, ministers and commissioners. After which the administration came into action. And officials from the three concerned departments of the district, Public Works Department, Tourism Department and Water Resources Department, reached Panchna Dam and inspected the surrounding lands. Also, a report was prepared to make it a tourist destination. During this, detailed discussions were held to develop various facilities and activities for tourists at Panchna Dam.

Preparation to make tourist spot on Panchna Dam

The district administration has started preparations on the demand of making the popular dam of Karauli a tourist destination. Under this, a meeting of officials of many departments including Water Resources Department, Public Works Department, Tourism Department was held in the guest house of Panchna Dam. In which detailed discussion was held on the resources and tourism related facilities on the land of the dam area. During this, Deputy Director of Tourism Department Madhusudan Singh, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department Sushil Kumar Gupta, Bhanupratap Singh of Tourism Development Committee, Pappu Bainsla and others were present.
