The then Churu SP Rahul Barhat, who was involved in the encounter, is currently posted as the Protector of Migrant Workers at Mumbai Airport. Vidya Prakash got a gallantry promotion at that time. He is currently posted as Additional SP in Jaipur AGF. Suryaveer Singh Rathore is currently posted as Deputy SP in Banswara. After the court order, the benefits given to these officers and head constables by the state government will have to be returned.
Rahul Barhat was the SP of Churu at the time of Anand Pal’s encounter
Rahul Barhat is a 2017 batch IPS officer. When Anandpal was killed in an encounter on 24 June 2017, Rahul Barhat was the SP of Churu. He has the image of a tough police officer. Apart from Churu, Rahul has also been the SP in Jalore, Barmer and Jhalawar in Rajasthan. He has also served in Jaipur and Jodhpur Police Commissionerate.
Suryaveer Singh and Vidya Prakash got promoted and became police officers
A case will also be filed against Suryaveer Singh and Vidya Prakash. Both of them have become police officers after getting promotion from Inspector. Vidya Prakash is a resident of Piprali in Sikar. He is a 1993 batch Sub Inspector. When Anand Pal was killed in an encounter, he was the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Kuchaman Circle in Nagaur district. He has been CO at many places in Kuchaman, Didwana and Jaipur Rural.
Suryaveer Singh joined the post of Sub Inspector in 1996
Deputy Superintendent of Police Suryaveer Singh was selected for the post of Sub Inspector in 1996. After this he became Inspector. Suryaveer Singh spent most of his time in Jaipur Commissionerate. At the time of Anandpal encounter, Suryaveer Singh was an Inspector in SOG. Suryaveer Singh is a resident of Kekri. He is currently posted in Jaipur.
