Jaipur : since the formation of the new government in the state, there have been discussions about administrative reshuffle. However, many major changes have been made in the administrative structure by the state government. But at present, discussions are going on about the post of Jaipur Police Commissioner. An ADG level officer is appointed to this post. The Commissionerate Police system was started in the state in the year 2011, under which the post of Commissioner was created in Jaipur and Jodhpur. The then Range IG BL Soni was made the first Police Commissioner in Jaipur. Currently, Biju George Joseph is the Jaipur Police Commissioner. Biju George Joseph has been working as Jaipur Police Commissioner for about 1 year. Earlier, Anand Srivastava has made a record of being the Jaipur Police Commissioner for the longest time. He had handled the responsibility of Jaipur Police Commissioner for more than 4 years.
CM has also praised Police Commissioner Joseph
The IAS IPS transfer list is awaited in the state. There are also discussions about changing the Jaipur Police Commissioner. However, the tenure of the current Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph has been very commendable so far. The Chief Minister himself has praised his work. Biju has been the Jodhpur Police Commissioner twice in the years 2013 and 2019 and is a problem solving officer and Joseph is known in the police department as a good team leader. In such a situation, there is a discussion that the government can retain 1995 batch IPS officer Biju George Joseph on this post.
The name of IPS Malini Agarwal is in discussion
If the Police Commissioner is changed in the upcoming IPS transfer list, then two names are being discussed very loudly. The first name is of 1994 batch IPS Malini Agarwal, who is currently working as ADG Rajasthan Police Training Academy. Her work as a woman officer has been quite commendable. She has also received the Utkrisht Seva Medal in the year 2018 and during the state’s very famous Anandpal encounter, she was Ajmer IG, during which Malini Agarwal did commendable work amidst the violent atmosphere created in Anandpal’s village.
IPS officer Vishal Bansal is also in the race
The second name is of 1997 batch IPS officer Vishal Bansal, who is currently working as ADG Law and Order. Vishal Bansal has also been awarded the Police Medal in 2013 while working as DIG in SOG. During the elections in the state, many big operations were carried out under the leadership of IPS Vishal Bansal. In such a situation, discussions are currently going on about these three names. If the government wants, it can continue the current police commissioner or it can set an example by making Malini Agarwal the commissioner and making her the first woman police commissioner. On the other hand, the name of IPS Vishal Bansal is also appearing strongly.
