Darbhanga, November 13 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here on Wednesday that now people’s thinking about Bihar has changed and their approach has also changed. He said that the schemes which were only discussed earlier are now actually coming on the ground.
Prime Minister Modi gifted schemes worth more than Rs 12 thousand crore to Bihar in a program organized in Darbhanga on Wednesday. While addressing the program organized during this period, PM Modi also remembered the nightingale Sharda Sinha. He said that Sharda Sinha gave a new dimension to folk songs. Through his songs, he took the great festival like Chhath to the country and the world.
During this, PM Modi praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a lot. The Prime Minister said that the model of good governance given by Nitish Kumar in Bihar is amazing. He has played a big role in taking Bihar out of jungle raj. He stressed that the flow of development is flowing under the NDA government by giving importance to small farmers and small industries. Development is taking place due to airport and expressway.
Remembering Karpoori Thakur, he said that now the youth are studying engineering and medicine by studying in their mother tongue. PM Modi said that the largest population in our country is of the poor and middle class. Disease also affects this class the most, hence most of the income of this class is spent on disease. We too have come from this class. Therefore, we know that if someone in the family falls ill then the whole family is in trouble.
The Prime Minister said that in earlier times the government used to make only promises and claims. What was there before Nitish Kumar’s rule in Bihar? The health system of Bihar improved under the rule of Nitish Kumar. He clearly said that providing better health facilities to the countrymen and making their lives easier is our biggest priority.
While talking about people staying healthy, PM Modi said that Fit India Movement is being run by our government. The common causes of diseases are dirt, contaminated food and bad lifestyle. Therefore, campaigns like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, toilet in every house and tap water are being run.
While discussing a popular saying in Mithila, ‘Pag-Pag Pokhri, Mach-Makhan, Madhur Bol, Muski Mukh Paan’, PM Modi said that the priority of our government is that the fish farmers and farmers here do not face any kind of problem. . Farmers are being provided help through PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under the One District One Product scheme, the Makhana and other products produced here are being sold in markets across the country. Makhana has also got GI tag. Under Matsya Sampada Yojana, fish farmers are being helped at every step.
He said that the NDA government is running on the mantra of development and heritage. Nalanda University is moving towards regaining its glory. Different languages are our precious heritage. It is also important to speak and save them. Recently we have given the status of classical language to Pali language.
