Kota : POCSO court in Kota, Rajasthan has sentenced a 22-year-old youth to 20 years of imprisonment for kidnapping and raping an eight-year-old girl three years ago. Besides, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1.10 lakh on the rapist.
Public Prosecutor Vijay Kachhawa of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) Court No. 2 said that Bunty Bairwa (22), resident of Bhadana under Railway Colony police station area of Kota, was arrested on December 3, 2021 for giving food and drink to an eight-year-old girl. He has been sentenced for the crime of taking her to his room and raping her on the pretext of giving her the goods. Kachhawa told that the girl’s parents approached the Railway Colony Police on the same day. The government lawyer lodged a complaint against Bairwa in the police station and said that the police had arrested Bairwa on the same day.
