Mumbai, November 12 (IANS). Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested a 24-year-old man from Karnataka for sending threatening messages to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Police said that the name of the accused is Sohail Pasha.
According to Mumbai Police, Pasha had sent this threatening message to gain fame. According to media reports, last Thursday Bollywood star Salman Khan had received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This threat was given through a message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room located in Worli. The message mentioned the lyricist of “Main Sikandar Hoon” and allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore from Khan on behalf of the gang.
After this the police started investigation. During the investigation in the case, the police found out that the number from which this threat was sent belonged to Venkatesh Narayan. Mumbai Police team reached Karnataka in search of the accused. When the police checked Venkatesh’s phone, it was found that he uses an ordinary phone in which WhatsApp is not installed.
Investigation revealed that Sohail Pasha, while roaming in a market in Raichur district of Karnataka, had asked Venkatesh Narayan for his mobile to make a call. Pasha logged in to Venkatesh’s WhatsApp number through OTP and then sent a threatening message to the traffic control room of Mumbai Police from the same number. Police have arrested the accused Sohail Pasha.
Let us tell you that in the threat message it was told that a song has been written on ‘Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi’. It was said in the threat message that the person writing the song would be killed within a month. His condition will become such that he will not be able to write songs in his own name. If Salman Khan has courage then show it by saving him. The police had registered a case in this matter and started investigation.
