Jaipur : Jaipur The play ‘Kathaputliyan’, which talks about the consciousness and awakening within humans, and explores the depth and purity of love, was staged at the Krishnayan Sabhagar of Jawahar Kala Kendra on Sunday. The play was inspired by the story of senior litterateur Manisha Kulshreshtha and was directed by Anurag Singh. The three-day youth theatre festival organised at JKK also concluded with the staging of this play. The artists received a lot of applause through their acting in the programme. Artists like Kuldeep Singh, Narayan Singh Chauhan, Ankit Shah, Dushyant Harit Vyas, Aradhana Sharma, Garima Pancholi etc. acted in the play.

Empowered Through acting, the artists told that Ramkishan is a skilled puppeteer. His wife dies after giving birth to the child. Ramkishan brings up the child. He takes him from village to village and shows him puppet shows. Sugna, who lives in another village, loves Jaggu Guide. Sugna’s family gets her married to Ramkishan. Ramkishan respects every feeling of Sugna. Sugna realizes Ramkishan’s kindness and she happily settles down. Many times the characters were shown like puppets by wearing masks.
