‘The Railway Man’ completes one year, actor Babil Khan says – ‘I learned a lot’

Mumbai, November 19 (IANS). It has been one year since the release of the web series on Bhopal gas tragedy. Actor Babil Khan said about ‘The Railway Man’ that this series has taught me a lot in life.

In the series, the actor played the role of young loco pilot Imad Riaz, who comes forward to help people in the Bhopal gas tragedy. Apart from sharing many anecdotes about the series, Babil also told that other stars of the film helped him a lot.

The veteran actor and son of late Irrfan Khan said that working in ‘The Railway Man’ was an emotional journey for me. It was a tribute to real heroes facing tragedy, not just acting. Madhavan Sir and K.K. It was a privilege to work with stalwarts like Menon sir. He taught me a lot during the shooting.”

Babil has played the role of a loco pilot in the series. This series has played a significant role in establishing Babil as one of the brightest young talents in the industry. The actor said that the correct portrayal of the tragic incident and the brilliant stars added depth to the story, which the audience liked very much.

Regarding his character in the series and his preparation, the actor said, “I did not know how to speak Bhopali, so it took a lot of time to learn it and I learned it properly. Not only this, after going back to the life of 1984, Painting the environment was also a big deal. It was important to learn how a worker and his family lived in factory quarters at that time.”

He said, “I visited the site before shooting to see first-hand the impact of the tragedy. Walking into the factory in broad daylight was chilling. This experience further strengthened my preparation.
