The shocking truth of the girl’s family came to light after marriage, know the matter

Jaisalmer : A shocking case has come to light from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, where the groom’s father was kidnapped by the bride’s family after an inter-caste marriage. On October 7, a young man and a girl had a court marriage of their own free will, but the girl’s family was against the marriage because both belonged to different castes. After this marriage, the girl’s family started threatening the groom and his family and finally on November 16, they kidnapped the groom’s father.

Police raided and recovered the kidnapped elderly man.

According to the police, 60-year-old Chanuram Kumhar was kidnapped by the bride’s relatives on Saturday. Their objective was to find out the whereabouts of the bride and groom, because after the marriage the bride and groom had run away from home and were living in a safe place. The bride’s family had even threatened to kill him. As soon as information about this incident was received, the police took immediate action and raided the hideout of the kidnappers on 19 November. The police rescued the groom’s father and detained a suspect. Complete disclosure could be made in this matter yesterday.

Rajasthan High Court has given instructions to provide security to the couple

Earlier, both the bride and groom had approached the Rajasthan High Court, where they had sought protection citing threat to their lives. The court ordered the police to ensure their security. After this both of them were presented before senior police officers, where they expressed their desire to live together. The police sent them to a safe place.

Police is investigating the matter

Police officials said that according to the law, any person has the right to marry as per his wish, but such incidents prove that there are still deep roots of casteism in the society. Police have started investigating the matter and strict action is being taken against the accused.
