There is no relief even at night as the mercury is above 28 degrees. The effect of heat is increasing continuously for the last few days. The maximum temperature has increased by more than 3 degrees in the last 6 days.

According to the weather department, there is no hope of relief in Barmer till October 1. The maximum temperature can go up to 41 degrees. The night temperature will also remain between 27-28 degrees. During this time, there is a possibility of light clouds moving in the sky.

In the last ten years, the mercury never reached 39.6 degrees on 25th September. In the year 2001, the temperature on 25th September was recorded at 45.9 degrees which is an all time record. After this, in the last ten years, the mercury never crossed 39 degrees on 25th September or thereafter. But this time, the mercury is expected to rise even more.

Unannounced power cuts increased problems

The continuous unannounced power cuts in Barmer city are increasing the troubles of the people in the scorching heat. Unannounced power cuts occur about 4-5 times a day and night in the urban area. Sometimes these power cuts are for more than an hour. Due to power cuts at night, people are having sleep disturbances.
