Jaipur : Government’s efforts regarding One State One Election in Rajasthan have intensified. By appointing administrators in 49 municipal bodies on Monday, the Bhajan Lal government has given indications of implementing One State One Election. According to the notification of the Autonomous Department, the tenure of the elected boards of 49 municipal bodies of the state is ending on November 25. Keeping this in view, the government appointed administrators in all these municipal bodies till the formation of the elected board.
Intention to conduct elections along with Panchayat elections
It was also believed that the government would appoint administrators in these bodies to conduct elections along with the Panchayat elections next year. For this, the UDH department had also sent a proposal to the law department. Now after the end of the tenure, the government has appointed administrators in these 49 municipal bodies. This is being seen as a big sign in the direction of One State One Election.
