Mumbai, December 8 (IANS). Prime Video has released the teaser and release date of season 3 of the series ‘The Wheel of Time’.
The third season will premiere globally on March 13, 2025. The teaser was revealed on the Thunder Stage at CCXP24 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Showrunner Rafe Judkins and cast members Joscha Stradowski (Rand al’Thor) and Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere) participated in a panel, having a fun and insightful conversation with hosts Aline Diniz and Ikaro Kadoshi.
They previewed the upcoming action of the series and revealed what the fan-favorite characters are up to. The teaser shows a changing world, where Shadow has taken root. The battle between Light and Dark has become so important that Moiraine and Egwene will stop at nothing to protect Rand from the darkness.
The show is an adaptation of the fantasy book series ‘The Wheel of Time’ written by Robert Jordan, in which Rand al’Thor, the son of an ordinary farmer, discovers that he is the Dragon Reborn, a dangerous figure in history who threatens to destroy the world. Made to save…or to destroy.
Season two ended at a point where Rand meets his friends after defeating Ishmael at Falme and is declared the Dragon Reborn.
Rand and his friends will face many new threats in the show’s third season, including some of their old enemies who have returned. Lanfear’s return will also be a turning point in this, as her relationship with Rand will mark an important choice that will be special for both of them.
Many talented actors have played important roles in The Wheel of Time series. Rosamund Pike (Saltburn, Gone Girl) stars as Moiraine Damodred, Daniel Henney (Criminal Minds) stars as Al’Lan Mandragon, and Joscha Stradowski (Gran Turismo) stars as Rand al’Thor. Additionally, Robbins (Power Rangers Ninja Steel) plays Ninaive Al’Mira.
