Udaipur : Leopard terror continues in Udaipur. The administration is busy searching for the man-eating panther in Gogunda. A total of 8 people, including 7 in Gogunda and 1 in Jhadol, have become victims of leopard. At the same time, now the panther has entered the populated area of Saira also. The panther killed the cow standing outside the house here. On receiving information that panther had entered the populated area, the villagers including the village sarpanch reached the spot. He informed the veterinarian and the revenue department. Villagers told that the movement of the panther was being seen for a long time.
Panic spread in the village after the panther movement
Panther entered Sardarpura locality of Dhol village of Saira area. The panther came outside the house of local resident Lal Singh father Sardar Singh Rajput and attacked the cow tied here and made it its victim. This incident spread panic in the village and people came out of their homes and gathered. As soon as information about the incident was received, hundreds of people including village sarpanch Mohan Ram reached the spot.
Villagers said – it has become difficult to get out of their houses
Villagers say that due to the continuous movement of panther for the last one month, it has become difficult to go out of their houses. But the Forest Department has not taken any concrete steps yet. Anger is increasing among the people of the village and they have demanded the forest department to catch the panther as soon as possible. The villagers alleged negligence and said that the forest department officials were waiting for a major accident. The villagers also demanded the forest department to catch the panther by installing a cage as soon as possible.
