The threat of Chandipura virus increased in Rajasthan, one case here, panic in the health department

Dungarpur : Chandipura virus is now slowly spreading its legs across the country. Its first case was reported from Gujarat, its cases were also being seen in Rajasthan. Now Chandipura virus has entered Dungarpur district. In the report from Pune Laboratory, Chandipura virus has been found in a 3-year-old child. However, this child of Baldiya village is now completely fine. After the confirmation of Chandipura virus, the health department has become alert.

3 year old child infected with Chandipura virus

Superintendent of Dungarpur Medical College, Dr. Mahendra Damor said that on July 11, a 3-year-old child was admitted to the PICU ward of Dungarpur Medical College Hospital. The child from Baldiya village complained of vomiting, diarrhea, fever and nervousness. Due to suspected symptoms of Chandipura virus in children, samples of 2 children were taken and sent to Udaipur on July 18. From Udaipur, the samples were sent to Pune Laboratory. Dungarpur Medical College Hospital received the report from the lab on Sunday. In which Chandipura virus has been confirmed in a 3-year-old boy.

Sample testing continues

Dr. Mahendra Damor said that the child who tested positive for Chandipura virus had completely recovered 2 days ago. He has been discharged from the hospital. However, the health department teams are also monitoring the child at his home. The doctor said that according to the season, many children are coming to the hospital with vomiting, diarrhea and fever. On finding suspicious symptoms of Chandipura virus, their samples are being taken and sent for testing.
